Ev Hadden released her first EP of original blues songs, Blues Clear Through, in 2020.

After moving to Boise in 2013, Ev turned her focus to songwriting, inspired by the art-centric culture and thriving music scene. She spent several years on the Boise Blues Society's Board of Directors, working to encourage homegrown blues music highlighting female performers and sparse styles. Her original song "Trump(et) Blues" won a songwriting contest on a local radio show in 2016, and another original "Green House" was included on a local compilation of blues music in 2017. A forthcoming compilation of female blues artists in Boise will feature another of her original songs.

Ev was a founding Council member of Sisters in Songwriting, an Idaho-based nonprofit organization with a mission of helping female songwriters to network, showcase, collaborate, and celebrate each other through music. She occasionally hosts Ladies' Songwriter Salons in her home.
